No matter the weather, deliveries gotta' get made. Thankfully, the rain and warmer temps are clearing the last of the snow off the roads here in Ohio. But, next we will have to deal with freezing rain on the roads tomorrow morning. Makes me want to go out to Texas again, haha.

Don’t bring that weather with you

This time of year anytime I get a pre plan I check out the weather where I'm going. Used to be I would only do Google Earth. But I've learned the hard way... The weather dictates how you're going to meet your obligations.

Hi Don,

Good to hear from you here on TT. Sorry about all the bad weather but of course Ohio does lie in some of the worse "snow belts" across the country. The more you deal with bad weather driving the better you will be overall. Another reason why I decided years ago to move to Florida and enjoy the better weather and be able to drive in Southeastern Regional routes. Always be safe Don and keep in touch as I have enjoyed your posts here on TT.

Regional:

Regional Route

Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.
