I ordered an Atlas today. I noticed another book called National Tuck Stop directory 2017. Is this worth the $17? It seems like it could be a useful tool, but I do have a tool chest filled with "useful" tools that I never use.

I have a similar book somewhere in my cabinets as a back up, never used it.

If you have a smart phone download the Trucker Path app. Excellent tool to locate truck stops and other parking areas.

I have two books like the truck stop directory-- I think it's worth it, as it can list a lot of places not shown on Trucker Path, and you don't need to buy a new one very often.

I keep looking at that app, but I don't see some of the truck stops near where I live, so i know that the app is limited.

This is what I use. I add notes: parking, restaurant, avoid. Costs about $6 and is at my fingertips.

Will is missing something:

I keep looking at that app, but I don't see some of the truck stops near where I live, so i know that the app is limited.

Be sure to select the types of stops you're looking for. If you haven't noticed the little map marker icon on the lower right, you can select truck stops by brand, weigh stations and Walmarts.

Here's another tidbit on Trucker Path: touch the "Follow Me" icon below the +/- buttons so your marker stays in the center of the screen. And then the map stays up and won't close down like most apps do.
