Only if we have Anchorman hosting it (old timers know who I'm talking about)

Anchorman was cool, but we have Dave now whose qualifications include:

  • 33 year journalism career
  • Was a reporter, editor, managing editor, and publisher
  • Owned and published his own small town newspaper for 14 years
  • Was a truck driver for a couple of years

His bio:

I am retired from a 33-year career in newspaper journalism -- starting as a reporter and advancing through editor, managing editor and ending as publisher of two newspapers of the newspaper chain for which I was employed. The last 14 years of my career I owned and published my own small community newspaper.

Then, in October of 2011 just two months before turning 60 I went off to truck driving school to begin a career as a truck driver. I ran with Gordon Trucking Inc. until retiring for good in March of 2013. Trucking Truth was VERY instrumental in me making the decision to start a driving career in the first place, and I partially attribute my success during my short stint as a driver to the many hours I spent poring over Trucking Truth's pages and forums.

A lot of forums have the top thread of each forum on the main page. That way if you had a separate forum for news, we'd be able to see the latest news post on the top level page. And we'd be able to see when other less active forums had a new post without having to go in to each one. But I used to do some programming to customize forum software so I know that some of these things can slow down the site. Or maybe what I'm talking about already exists somewhere and I've missed it? Anyway, that's what I'd like to see.
