That isn't the Swift Phoenix Terminal.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Was close to the Swift Phoenix yard a few weeks ago. Was realy nervous. (Just kidding)

Glad you made it away safe!

For anyone considering a career, these jokes about swift are just that, jokes. Swift actually has a lower % of drivers involved in accidents or being put out of service but due to their size it just appears they're involved in more wrecks. I don't want anyone to get the wrong impression of this forum, or of swift based on a couple jokes smile.gif

Law of averages has a funny way of distorting reality. How often do you see a Swift, Prime, CFI or JB Hunt get called across the scales compared to other carriers? (Talking about prepass scales) Answer, alot less. In a lot of cases it is tied to the safety score and those companies have great scores. Heck, if things went sideways with my current company, I'd seriously consider Swift.

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

And we would welcome you with open arms! Swift is treating me just fine. I'm at $.41 cpm and currently in their platinum bonus range, which is an additional $.05 cpm paid quarterly. I am averaging about 2500 mi. per week. Works for me!

CPM:

Cents Per Mile

Drivers are often paid by the mile and it's given in cents per mile, or cpm.

With Schneider I went like 2-3 months without getting called into a scale, they were either closed or I got the bypass. It's rare I get called into them.

That satellite imagery is old and the pad you took a pic of is a dirt lot in this imagery. But that's where you were!

Lol i tried to use the red line and X to indicate that you came through Plaza building inbound and turned left past the practice pad. Lil difficult when the road you were on didn't exist in that imagery.

Blue circle is the pad you took the photo of.

Inbound/outbound building is there in the satellite view but not much else. Was about even with the wash bays. D lot is on the exit side of the wash bays.
