Good morning, everyone! I woke up to a message from my recruiter at Roehl stating that an opening had come up in Marshfield, WI for the 15th. WOOT!

Edit: Appleton, WI. Not Marshfield. Appleton. I actually see this as a good omen. My parents' first home was on Appleton St. in Detroit. They often spoke about the good times on Appleton. I guess it's just a "trigger word" for good things for me now. The human psyche is pretty amazing...

anyhow, APPLETON!

Well, today's the last day at home for a while. I'll be leaving for Wisconsin tomorrow afternoon. It's a sad day. No one is really acknowledging what's happening. My wife is trying to hold back how much she's going to miss me. I'm trying to be there, but we're both on edge. What a day. So weird. I'm going shopping tonight for hotel foods. I don't want/have money to spend on eating out. I look at it as a chance to learn truck cooking.

Last night I stayed awake and packed. Again, thanks for the list TT. I bought tons of food. I figure I won't have to eat out unless I really want to.

As a bonus, today is the Louisiana kite festival! So I get to go out with my family and friends and fly kites. I'm glad I get to have a good time before I leave tonight. :)

I'm looking forward to the drive tonight, though. Nervous, but excited.
