There are a lot of unique hiring requirements, but ultimately anyone with a solid criminal history and employment history will find an opportunity somewhere.
I think the LACK of a solid criminal history would be preferable to most Carriers!
Does it means that every company needs to see certificate from a training school before employment is given?
Freeborn A, you may be thinking that Trucking Truth or “Old School” is a CDL training school. It’s not, so the advice you got was to seek out a company that will put you through the company program. This will pretty much guarantee you a job after training. I hope that helps. Good luck!

Every carrier is different, and there are a lot of unusual disqualifications that some of them have.
For instance, some of them will not hire anyone with a CDL that attended a Paid CDL Training Program but didn't complete the contract.
Some companies won't hire anyone who hasn't had steady employment for the past three years, or was fired from their last job.
Many companies won't hire someone with a CDL that didn't attend a legitimate school to get it, or will make you go through their training program from scratch.

For all of the talk of driver shortages and companies that are desperate for drivers, there is no shortage of incoming drivers looking for training to get their CDL. There are a lot of those, but unfortunately a lot of them do not make it in this industry for very long. The real driver shortage is a shortage of qualified experienced drivers. So a lot of new or inexperienced drivers are surprised when companies don't fall all over each other begging for their services.
