I just checked every city in Florida to see it OD was hiring drivers. No luck. Sucks for me
Local drivers that stay around their area, usually within 100 mile radius of a terminal, picking up and delivering loads.
LTL (Less Than Truckload) carriers for instance will have Linehaul drivers and P&D drivers. The P&D drivers will deliver loads locally from the terminal and pick up loads returning to the terminal. Linehaul drivers will then run truckloads from terminal to terminal.
Linehaul drivers will normally run loads from terminal to terminal for LTL (Less than Truckload) companies.

Hey GTown, Good point you made about TL and not LTL. I posted my reply without understanding or knowing that. I appreciate the update and clarification. You are the Man.

Try calling sometimes they have unadvertised openings, or know when on might open.
Also FedEx freight, Saia, Estes, Black Horse, Dayton, R&L, Averitt, AAA Cooper, XPO, UPS Freight are all good companies they might not all be down there you but should be able to find something.
If you need any other info or tips just ask. I would love for someone to convert to the dark side lol

Please let’s be clear, it’s NOT the LTL division effected by this; for now only the TL division and a couple of subsidiaries.
If YRC’s LTL division tanked the near term effect would be chaotic and economically damaging.
