Brett, thanks for keeping things focused. I commented on the 'rant' in question and it wasn't reasonable (the rant) The original poster was not to blame at all, but the suicide was not a justifiable indictment on the trucking industry.
The
underperforming malcontents
Sounds like a great name for a punk rock band, Bruce!
Perhaps I learned something from that. I really thought it was some ignorant person just shouting off their mouth. Not once did I think truck drivers people that know the sacrifices, concerns, and dedication of the job would have such a terrible disposition.

RD, that's funny because that's what Brett said. Second time in a week I've gotten credit for something Brett did. If it happens again, Brett may make me change my name to end the confusion.

I apologize to the person who posted it, but I just deleted a topic where some guy when on a wild rant telling all kinds of lies that he called "the reality" of the trucking industry, blaming the trucking industry for the recent suicide. There wasn't an ounce of truth to anything he said and I'm not going to put that garbage out there, not even for debate. He's a terminal rat spewing filth from his soapbox, looking for attention, and hoping to find a bunch of underperforming malcontents to rally behind him. That's not what we're here to do.
Our job is to teach people what it takes to become a successful truck driver, and eventually perform at the highest level, or what we refer to as a Top Tier Driver. You don't get there telling lies, complaining, blaming, or criticizing. You get there by working hard and focusing on becoming the best driver you can possibly be. That's our mission.
I'm just not going to put a bunch of slandering filth out there to upset and confuse people.
Terminal:
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
