All that being said, I know what I should have done differently. I probably shouldn't have run out my clock knowing I would have to start early before the sun comes up in the thick of all that mess. But I was just trying to get as close to Springfield as possible. Made really good time too, even with the conditions.

We should only drive our safe comfort level. Yes, we all get into bad weather when there is no safe place to stop. US highways often have no place to stop for miles and miles. NEEK, you did a good job and learned a little about clock management. In dense fog go slow and put your hazards on. Also, don't use your high beams. Stay safe.
