If you want to stay together, investigate companies that will put you through the same training program. It may be a downgrade for you, but you and the wife can still be together and you can help her through her training.

My wifes going through cdl school right now and once she has her license my company which is a small ny company has agreed to let me train her and attempt to run us as a team even though we dont run teams
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
Most companies will require you to drive for them for a certain amount of time before you can train her.
At Prime, an experienced driver can come in and 3 mos later train.
Not 100% on this but I believe CRST has a Train- your- partner program.

Hello family. I'm a truck driver and be driving locally for a few years. My decided to go to school and get her cdl so we can team drive. What is the best company and school my wife can go to so we can team.. We really don't want to be away from each other in the process so I was wondering what company will allow me to train her. She was over the road with me before So she is very familiar with the over the road experience. Can anyone help?
