It's crazy how badly the midwest has been flooded this winter and spring. It seems like the water goes down and a couple weeks later it's back up. Areas near I29 from council bluffs ia to MO border have so much dirt and soot from the river farmers that had their fields flooded out wont be able to grow anything for 10-15 years.
This morning when I was about to exit Missouri and enter Kansas, I was bombarded by heavy rain which made me and several other truckers pull off the road because we couldn't see a bloody thing. Then lightning was shooting across the sky. Then after about 10-15 minutes it all cleared up and I took off again. Very strange.
I did cross a bridge that was almost to the road. About another big rain like this morning and maybe it would reach the road.
Night all, 0200, come early.
