Still sounds like a win!! No dings, no dents!!
If you didn't hit anything, that's a success. We all have our good days and not so good.
I've nailed docks in the first try with no pullups that I thought I was never going to be able to get into.
On the other hand I've had to abort, go around the lot and re-setup my approach 3 or more times on spots that I didn't think would be challenging at all.
You got it done, that's the only thing that matters
So depressed and embarrassed.
Oh stop with that! Don't ever think that way. You didn't hit anything so you successfully got it backed in. There's no bonus money for hitting it first try. It makes no difference at all.
Heck, learn to laugh at yourself and have fun with it. Everyone has those moments. If you can laugh at yourself when you do something goofy then people will love you for that.
Look at sports bloopers, for instance. The greatest athletes in the world screw up in ways you wouldn't expect from a little kid. That's just part of the human condition. We're imperfect, and sometimes hysterically so.
My dad used to love golfing. He was terrible at it, but he enjoyed it immensely. One time in a tournament with the guys at work he shot a 13 on a par 3. He hit it in this little lake right in front of him 4 times!!! The guys were laughing so hard that some of them were literally rolling around on the ground in tears. When the tournament was over they gave my dad this little trophy of a horse's ass for that performance. He totally hammed it up and everyone had a great laugh at his expense. He went home and put that trophy on his dresser and it stayed there. He knew everyone had a great time because of that moment, and he laughed right along with em. As a kid that really taught me a lot about life. It made me realize there are so many different ways you can handle any situation, and how important it is to handle things the right way.
Just laugh it off. Struggling to get backed in sometimes is no indication of your talent or expertise. It's simply a glaring reminder that you're no less vulnerable to the human condition than anyone else.
The ones that get me are the wide open spaces! Most have trouble with the tight ones. If I have to do multiple pull ups on those I don't feel bad. It's the ones where you have all the room and still have to pull up to reset that keeps my ego in check.

I've been really happy with my backing the last several months. Every now and then I'll have a day or two when I just can't seem 2 nail it... I'll come close but a few pull-ups more that I want to do. But I was feeling really good about myself today. Last night at a petro had to do a Blind Side angle in a rainstorm and I nailed it. So this morning I go to this receiver and it was really tight. Did the Google Earth thing and everything so I knew what I was up against. And again nailed it. So I get to my shipper this afternoon and I had been there once before small lot but the last time I was there there was only one other truck in the docks. Today every door is full except for my door and I'm telling you it took me 30 minutes to get backed in. It was really tight and very little room between the doors. Must have done over 20 goals and finally the guy next to me came over to help me. So depressed and embarrassed. Like I said every time you think you got this figured out you realize you don't... I didn't Dent anything but my pride...
Shipper:
The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.
