I don’t see why it would matter what license a rider has as long as he/she is strictly a passenger.
Lots of companies out here, so keep contacting different ones until you find the one that will best fit you two.
They are probably concerned she will attempt to drive. Since she got a dui , why doesn’t she downgrade her cdl and ride along?

Pretty much ALL companies will not allow a rider that's a valid CDL holder - for reasons hinted at above. Because of the potential for the "rider" to get behind the wheel.
Your spouse can DOWNGRADE her CDL, and it should be OK. At the point where she becomes eligible to hire, she can re-upgrade to a CDL. Chances are at that point, she will have to go through training again, since she lacks experience to just jump behind the wheel.

Couple of questions I hope someone with experience can help with. My spouse received an owi (operating while intoxicated) 14 months ago. She now has her cdl reinstated, but cannot get a job due to this offense being so recent. We had a goal to become team drivers, but are running into a bunch of brick walls. I have had my cdl and driving experience now for a year, without any violation or tickets. Our thinking was that I would go solo with her as my rider, but that now too seams to be a brick wall, as most bigger companies will not allow a rider with a valid cdl.... does anyone have any suggestions on how we could make the otr thing happen for the two of us? Thank you in advance!
