The standard procedure for pee tests is that if the patient can't produce when they are asked to, they must sit in the testing office and drink water until, per Old School, the added water filters through.

Relax, unless you have a real concern that you didn't share with us. Otherwise what you did is done hundreds of times each week. I watched a guy one time who drank what seemed like a couple of gallons of water before he could pee. Remember, when you drink water it doesn't go straight to your kidneys and bladder. What you pee is urine, and it doesn't get straight water mixed with it unless you add it to the sample.

Take a deep breath, you're gonna be fine.

I’m really confused now! He had a diluted sample at previous job had to retest. Doesn’t believe the school drug test was good cause he paid 5000$ for school. He believes this sample will be diluted but wants to know if DOT will hold against him? Then he said he had Benadryl in his system which could blow a drug test. And then he states.....I need to clean up my act?

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

You've got nothing to worry about. I was sent for a test right after I came out of the bathroom. I couldn't fill the cup and I had to sit in the waiting room...being watched the whole time...drinking 16 ounce bottles of water for over an hour until I felt ready to go. I peed clear, no yellow at all, and I passed. I think you'll be fine.

I diddent say I need to clean up my act. I said that as advice to anyone who needs to take a drug test because you cant fool a lab and its stupid to try. It's a criminal offense in some states.

All good Matthew. Donna misunderstood the meaning of your reply.

Hey Matthew let us know about your results. I didn't realize you had a test returned as diluted previously. That's very unusual.

Hey Matthew just giving u a hard time! When I was a bus driver we were tested about every 2 to 3 months. Once my test came back inconclusive! There wasn’t enough sample to test. I couldn’t give what I didn’t have. I would be a little worried about Benadryl. It can cause false positive results. If u have a problem with sleeping you’re gonna have a hard time adjusting out here. I’m new so don’t quote me but I don’t believe any of the pm stuff is allowed. Hope u get results back quickly so u can quit worrying!

Yeah it's the the chemical in benadryl that's in Advil PM. I've heard ibuprofen and the other chemical can cause false positives on the initial immusary test but not the GS/MS conformation. Out of around 150 people only 2 flagged a false positive. And that was 1600 mgs of ibuprofen every day for 3 days. Not many sleep issues. But the school I went to the drive tests/practice sessions were around 11-2pm depending on schedules. I needed to be awake at 5am to drive 4 hrs to where I was needed. Wanted a good night sleep before a company road test and meeting them in person. Was 30 mins early 😊
