Paperwork? What's that?
Why don't you give us your concerns. Maybe we can help.
Paperwork? What's that?
Old School, I think it's toilet paper or fast food napkins. lol
The only paperwork I had to do was fill out the trip sheet and transflo that and the bill of lading into the company. Interestingly, Schneider has a project going on to eliminate Transflo and make everything paperless and electronic.
Phil, Old School and Bruce are serious. What is the problem you want to solve?
There was a time not too long ago when drivers did some paperwork.
Daily you need to log what you did all 24 hours in a day: off time, duty time and driving time, on one paper form. Of course you have (mostly still) papers connected to the freight you're pulling, and its delivery.
So what information are you looking for?
At the risk of sounding paranoid...
I think Mortimer (aka Todd) has surfaced again. This is his style. It's a fair question, one people may have, but he never comprehends anything we answer with. He provides a chance to answer it but then he's off on another subject in a different thread and a new personality.

If this is another "Todd" situation, I wish there was a way to solve it. I hate getting scammed, although the questions do elicit some good responses and good information.
As far as the paperwork issue, it was said long ago that the computer would eliminate paperwork. So far, I haven't seen it. I spend at least 1/2 day per week dealing with paperwork. That said, I think the trucking industry is ahead of the curve. I did much less paperwork driving, than I do now. Most of what I did was done on the Schneider tablet and pretty soon everything will be done on the tablet. I'm thinking most of the major carriers are heading in the same direction.

What kind of paperwork will I generally encounter with OTR trucking comapnies? thanks!
OTR:
Over The Road
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
