I just finished PSD at prime. If that is where you are going what do you want to know. There are a few primates with more experience around.
Prime Inc has a CDL training program and the first phase is referred to as PSD. You'll get your permit and then 10,000 miles of on the road instruction.
Prime’s PSD begins with you obtaining your CDL permit. Then you’ll go on the road with a certified CDL instructor for no less than 75 hours of one-on-one behind the wheel training. After training, you’ll return to Prime’s corporate headquarters in Springfield, Missouri, for final CDL state testing and your CDL license.

Actually going to Wilson, but appreciate it. Any advice for us south-western boys about going to the Midwest at the start of the chilly season?

If you go flatbed bring warm clothes to get really dirty. Layers and layers dirty outer clean middle sweaty undershirt. Midwest not the problem went from hot down south to pretty chilly at night on the I94 in middle of ND and Montana got better by Pacific in Washington. Back to east coast ears popping chips popping bag it up buddy. Be ready for it all but only pack what you can sleep with on a single bunk bed. Food for thought I had no idea the micro climates in this big country.
Be ready for big temperature swings, even during the summer months.
Example: Last month (August), I parked in Idaho for my break, and the next morning at 0430, it was 43 degrees. When I parked that day at 1700 in Washington, it was 102!
These temperature swings are not uncommon.
Will definitely put your suggestions to use. Thank you.

Hey everyone, Just found out I will be getting on a bus bound for Springfield next weekend to begin my training to start driving OTR. I got my CDL permit last week and am excited to start a new chapter in my life. Any words of advise and/or wisdom from any of you would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to what you have to say!

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
OTR:
Over The Road
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
