Jamie...I honestly don't want to tell you what to do... but seriously, I encourage you to exhaust all opportunities with Schneider, including ones on the horizon. Winter is approaching...is that the best time to change companies, as the risk of a mishap increases?

Not pickin' on yah Man, just trying to help you do the right thing for the longer term. Crete seems like a lateral move to me requiring you to reestablish yourself as a safe and efficient driver over the winter months.

Good luck.

I know you guys are just trying to give me the best advise possible based off your experiences and such, and I will take that advise to heart and have a discussion with my DBL and anyone else regarding any opportunities Schneider might have that would fit me better. Thank you guys!

I have thought about about going to Crete. They were one of my top choices when I came back to driving. At this point it would be a lateral move that I may make at some point.

There is one specific reason though and that is there rider policy. Unless they have changed it recently they allow riders starting at age five compared to Swift requiring they be at least 12 years old.

The pay difference is negligible. Especially with how hard I run. In the end I would probably lose money when you figure the down time between jobs and reestablishing my reputation with a new company.

Crete is a good company by all measures, but there isn't any real point to change. It would be nice to bring my daughter out, but how often would she actually be able to come out with me?

EPU:

Electric Auxiliary Power Units

Electric APUs have started gaining acceptance. These electric APUs use battery packs instead of the diesel engine on traditional APUs as a source of power. The APU's battery pack is charged when the truck is in motion. When the truck is idle, the stored energy in the battery pack is then used to power an air conditioner, heater, and other devices
