After further consideration and absorbing all the advice from this site I have decided to apply for company training following the completion of this current landscape season if I can get my wife on board. If I’m gonna take this leap, I want to do it right. She has eased up some and is starting to understand the importance of going this route.

Curious as to how long it usually takes to hear back from these companies after receiving your application. Reason being, I have things to wrap up at home before I can get started. I need to officially shut down my business, transfer customers and contracts to 2 other landscape companies that are interested in expanding and also get my A permit and dot physical so I’m prepared if I get accepted to a company like Roehl that requires you to have them prior to training.

I don't want to apply too early and have them waiting for me nor do I want to have everything wrapped up here sitting in limbo waiting to hear from them. Trying to time this transition as closely as possible

Thank you in advance!

You'll begin hearing from companies the same day you apply, often within an hour or two. They're very quick about it. They know our recruits are the best-prepared candidates out there so they jump at our applicants right away.

I would apply 30 days before you're ready to begin your training. Any earlier than that and they'll just set you aside and tell you to re-apply when you're ready.

Also, to G-Town. I would like to schedule that ride along with you sometime after Thanksgiving if possible. Not sure how to get in touch with you directly since there is no private message option through this site

Thanks

Thanks Brett. That is impressive, I thought it would be at least a couple days on the short end. Also thank you for this site, I have learned so much here and really appreciate the advice from everyone

When I applied through here, i heard from companies within a half hour. They where willing to schedule orientation like a month out I believe.

Good morning Dave.

Not a problem. I’ll have Brett send me your email. We’ll exchange info, figure out a good date, meeting spot and get the insurance in place.

Good time for you to observe. Busy and the stores are littered with law away containers.

Cool.
