This was a major truck crash and associated five mile backup I encountered on I-70 west today in Illinois, near the Indiana border. Luckily, I was headed east.

Notice that the truck cab looks fairly intact, yet is separated from the chassis. The trailer was downslope of the overpass bridge. There were four heavy wreckers, a bobcat, and two smaller excavators on the scene. I have no idea on the details, but the Interstate was closed 10 miles east of the crash, and all traffic was detoured onto a side road.

A very scenic Sunday. LOL.

These were the action-packed sights I had today in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.

I took a picture of every 10th grain elevator I saw...457 miles of this today on US Routes 50, 52, 54, and 400 from Kansas City to Texhoma, TX.

Took me 2 hours to go five miles along 83 north of Baltimore today. I knew it would be bad when I started seeing the news choppers overhead. I hope the driver was ok.
