Last year I went home for Christmas, trying to decided what I wanted to do. I had decided to go with a second trainer due to the fact I lacked the confidence to go solo. Everyone here stayed on me, assuring me everyone was nervous at first. February, I went solo, boy I was a hot mess! But I made it! I’m picking up my last load before going home and my fm sends me a message where to drop my empty. I say thanks and Merry Christmas. He sends me this message!

Fm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
