You get up at 6:00 in the morning and go to work in nothing but jeans and a hoodie because it warmed up to 11° and anything more would cause you to sweat! Right now I'm sitting at a truck stop outside Denver and have the truck shut off and windows down because it's stuffy @ 26°... :)

You know it's a long winter when you're thrilled to see that the roads are only wet!

You know it's been a long winter when you can't remember what color your truck is supposed to be until a bit of rain washes the inch of salt and road scunge off.

You know it's been a long winter when 11 degrees in a summer heat wave (-40 is way too cold for me)

Our neighbors judge the temperature by how far down our windows are... Also sleeves or no sleeves...

You know it's cold when 11° is T-shirt weather.

You know it's been a cold winter when you start riding around with the AC on again cause it was a warm spell of 10 degrees today in Illinois.

I know it's going to be a good day is I can find a DEF pump NOT frozen up at a trucks stop.

One more: you know it's been a long winter when you sweep the crud out of your truck and your steer weight drops 20 lbs.

Okay, that might be a slight exaggeration, but I did just have to spend 15 minutes scraping ice remover residue scales out of my driver's side footwell that were the thickness of high-quality paper. Not enough ways to say "ew" in all the languages of all the nations on Earth for that.
