I just looked them up on the FMCSA website and they are fairly small, only 31 power units. Their "Out of Service %" on inspections is also a little higher than the national average 10/43 or 29.4%.
My concern with that is that they are the type small operation that could easily be put out of business by an increase in insurance premiums or downturn in market conditions.
Also since they are a small company based in Indiana there may be limited chances to get you back to Alabama for home time.

The FMCSA was established within the Department of Transportation on January 1, 2000. Their primary mission is to prevent commercial motor vehicle-related fatalities and injuries.

My friend Vann works there as an owner op. They have a fleet of old trailers and trucks (like most of their trailers at least 2 years old, trucks are 5 years old) and they are under 50 units total which is small. On the other hand he feels there at home. Makes more money there than Im (I got my own authority and paid off tractor-trailer) lol

I have been accepted as a driver by Smart Freight Express in Griffith IN. They said they will reimburse me up to $100.00 for the trip up from Alabama to Indiana. They will accept my cat from day 1. Does anybody know anything about them. Are they great, good, fair, poor or whatever?
