Always Up For A Challenge

Well I guess life was just too boring. I was asked to run a hot load from Savannah Ga to Portland Or. We are loading it now. Deliver tuesday before noon in northwest Portland.

I guess there has been a little disruption with the rail system so they need 3 truckloads brought out asap.

I’ve looked up what I can find, of course it is the media, so who knows what is accurate or not. Looks like the feds are there now but sounds like the unrest is mainly downtown.

We’ll see what tuesday brings. At least it is not hazardous

2901 on miles. I have a great co driver with me so making it on time won’t be an issue.

Yes, the downtown is in an uproar over the presence of federal security officer in downtown. Never mind the fact that a few of them were assaulted and various federal properties vandalized. You should be okay as long as you dont go downtown. Most of the industrial trucking for PDX happens along I5 north, the 84 and I5south. I don't even thing tractor trailers are allowed downtown.

Moe we are delivering at Solenis on NW Yeon av. Looks like it is up by the rail yard nw of downtown. Afterward going to Quala tank wash in Vancouver Wa to wash out

Should be okay then, most of the protesting action is centered smack dab in the middle of downtown by Pioneer Square, justice center etc and it happens at night mostly.

The police do have certain streets blocked off un downtown to help control the rioting , not sure if those are along your route.

If it works out that I am free, would you care to do a quick face to face say hi and put faces to names? I’m not sure if I have a load out Tuesday or not so I might be free.
