This whole prime thing was a huge mistake by a guy who was truly trying to protect drivers. Every once in awhile we get calls from scammers claiming to be from Prime asking for personal info....get emails claiming to be Prime....our families get calls "your son is a prime driver and was arrested...send money...." it happens all the time.
A bunch of drivers called night dispatch asking so the night guy who knew nothing of this settlement sent a message out to protect drivers. Then a couple hours later after verifying it was real he messaged stating as much.
The messed up thing about the settlement which caused so many to question its validity.. it only gave 2 days to register. So a lawsuit that has been going on for what. 5 years? Gives me 2 days to sign up? I'm not allowed time to investigate or decide? THAT led drivers to not believe it and question it.
I still think it is crap i signed a contract and agreed so someone else gets to decide I am too stupid to know what is good for me? And the lawyers as usual will get most
And where will that money come from??? My future raise perhaps?
I have a feeling Rhode Island and other will start using this study in their defense of Truck Only tolls.
"40x more damage to the road" is going to be a tough argument to fight against. I don't like it, but I don't think this will be a fight that truckers come out on top of.
On the road damage formula, if they end up using this formula to raise diesel taxes and tolls etc on big trucks they also need to factor in demand on products transported by trucks formula, it is
How much do I need/want These products
