Yes it would be a great feature Brett. Even I would use it and it would be easy to show pics in your post without having to use Photobucket like I do now.

Oh forgot to add better get a big HD for backing up the website pictures cause they do take up a lot of memory. They make 2 terabyte hard drives now.

Just a thought Brett, could you make a photos page? So we could all view the pics that folks sent in. Or would it just be on the persons page. Either way, great idea.

Hey, I guess we're on to something here! I'm gonna do it. I think this will be great.

Definitely. I'm trying to think over the features I'll have in it. I think I'll have a photos page that will allow people to see all of our photos and organize them by date or by the person who submitted them. So you could see a list of all of the photos, most recent first. Or you could see all photos from just one member. Things like that. But everyone's photo gallery will also be on their profile page.

Even I would use it and it would be easy to show pics in your post without having to use Photobucket like I do now.

Oh man....I hadn't even thought about being able to upload one straight into an actual post or show a picture you'd like to comment on in a post. Actually I hadn't gotten past thinking about the original idea so we need to discuss a feature set next.

Oh forgot to add better get a big HD for backing up the website pictures cause they do take up a lot of memory. They make 2 terabyte hard drives now.

Most definitely!

Ok, so I'm going to setup two ways of adding photos to your gallery:

1) Email them in like we've been discussing

2) Upload them directly from the computer/phone/tablet you're on

Once the photos are in your gallery you'll be able to:

1) Add/edit tags for each photo

2) Add/edit the caption

3) Add/edit the time and location

So we'll be able to show photos in a slideshow, on a timeline, or on a map. And I'm sure you guys would like to be able to comment on individual photos like you can on facebook, correct?

So can anyone give me any ideas for other features you'd like to see that I haven't mentioned? All ideas are good ideas. Even if we ultimately don't use a specific idea it will almost certainly lead to other good ideas so don't be shy about making suggestions! Lets hear any and all opinions on what you'd like to see or not see for that matter.

BMI:

Body mass index (BMI)

BMI is a formula that uses weight and height to estimate body fat. For most people, BMI provides a reasonable estimate of body fat. The BMI's biggest weakness is that it doesn't consider individual factors such as bone or muscle mass. BMI may:

  • Underestimate body fat for older adults or other people with low muscle mass
  • Overestimate body fat for people who are very muscular and physically fit

It's quite common, especially for men, to fall into the "overweight" category if you happen to be stronger than average. If you're pretty strong but in good shape then pay no attention.

This is a great idea! It would have been great the other day when I posted that pic of my first truck. And I wouldn't worry about storage space quite yet. I have a 1TB HD in my comp. with over 20k pictures on it and I've barely used half of the space. But I would set up a raid backup in case of HD failure.

I am with it,then when we see each other at the truck stop we could now recognize and have something to talk aboot. this could be a tool for asking aboot a part of a truck, asking or warning about events in the road, the usefulness of streamlining pictures on this site are immeasurable.I look forward to it.dancing-banana.gif . Trucking just got a little less lonely.
