Have any of y'all been stuck waiting here? Ive been here four times and never has the load been ready on time. Today's load was ready about 15 hrs after the appointment window. The only thing liberal about this place is their interpretation of the concept of appointment times. wtf-2.gif

Just had to get that off my chest.

That's worse than the 13 hours at the consignee I had yesterday for an unload.

Sorry!

Consignee:

The customer the freight is being delivered to. Also referred to as "the receiver". The shipper is the customer that is shipping the goods, the consignee is the customer receiving the goods.

I remember you saying you were stuck there for a long time while trying to get home. Same situation here. Finally on my way home though. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

When I was still pulling Dry Van I got stuck at the Clorox DC in Aberdeen, Maryland at the door waiting to get loaded. It so long that I did my 10 hour reset while locked into the dock!

Dry Van:

A trailer or truck that that requires no special attention, such as refrigeration, that hauls regular palletted, boxed, or floor-loaded freight. The most common type of trailer in trucking.

HA! That's easy for you to say. Rumor has it that your FM (aka, Greedy-One Kenobi) Loves you so much you don't have to wait on meat loads.shocked.png

Let that be a lesson to new drivers. If you perform at a really high level, you might get certain perks.

"Kearsey doesn't wait on meat loads; Meat loads wait on Kearsey"

Bobtail:

"Bobtailing" means you are driving a tractor without a trailer attached.

Fm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

PackRat doesn't pull refer because he would lose his mind playing the waiting games.
