I know that all states are different, so my question is particularly addressed to those guys who went through ROEHL training in Marshfield, WI. How is the situation with masks? Are they enforced or it is possible to go around without it? I am not trying to start a discussion, I just don't wear masks because it is hard for me to breath with a mask, and would like to know what to expect.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

I'm not a driver for Roehl, however the state of Wisconsin has a mask mandate in effect until atleast mid January. Your best bet would be asking your recruiter. Is a face shield an option?

I read the WI governor's order, and it seems that it doesn't require to wear a mask while driving solo in a designated truck. I wonder whether ROEHL enforces it. Shields? Not an option, they are even more stupid than masks :-)

You certainly don't need to wear a mask while solo in your own truck. The training period will probably require masks while you're with a group.

When you are solo your customers will probably require you wear a mask while interacting with them. That's only a small percentage of your time.

I live in Wisconsin, I have also been driving for the last 18 years, "the mask mandate" as you referred to isn't an issue when your with yourself, as you were suggested before, but for "Some people" it is a major safety issue to not have one, and some people think the company will come down on a truck driver driving without one. but IF you choose to drive without one, get ready for the "cry babies"... for sure... With this being said, it isn't a "LAW" so the enforcing it isn't an issue either, whether it is suggested or not isn't the issue, but from what science says, you should be fine... granted this IS my opinion, but cry babies do what cry babies do....smile*

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
