Got put OOS today in Van Horn, TX. Several dps officers in the eastbound cmv pullout coming into town.

Got me for an abrasion on an airline, wasn't leaking. I told him I was going to donate to the defund the police movement and he laughed. At least he let me drive over to loves to replace the line.

First ticket in seven years, I don't suppose Prime will fire me.

Checkpoint in ND today. Many DOT vehicles, 2 staged to chase. Had crawlers to slide underneath.

Allowed this Prime truck through, guessing they were full, or on lunch break.

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

Weigh Stations were closed on:

US 2 Nebraska City, NE,

I-29 SB MO, two EB on I-70 in MO,

I-64 (EB) and I-57 (SB) in IL and

I-24 EB in KY.

So much for being inspected and getting paid for it.

It doesn't seem like as many trucks got inspections this year compared to years past. I was surprised when I passed the scales they where closed, Indiana has a inspection building on 65 and I didn't see it being used. In years passed the parking lots at scales would be full this year they had only a few trucks in them.

I will be interested to see the numbers when they release them.

Being a new driver I was super concerned going into my 2nd week as new solo driver and passing 3 weight stations on my 1600 mile round trip. No issues and most the time - the WS were closed.
