I'm the same way, usually I can back in with no problems a few times the dock workers are waiting at the door and suddenly I look like a newbie
I love an audience watching. Maybe after watching what it takes to maneuver, they will change their views of drivers. It's not as easy as it looks to the untrained observer.

Why is it, that whenever I am in a backing situation where I have an audience of 5 or more people, in a simple setup, I jack up the set up, multiple times then nail it when it's a difficult spot with nobody watching?
It took me 30 minutes to get into a dang door the other day, with a slightly shallow area to get it turned. It should have been no big deal. By the time I was in, I felt like Austin Powers in the luggage cart/hallway scene.
Later that day, I get sent to drop a trailer, in a similar situation, slight incline, and even shallower area to move. Nailed it. It went right in, no pull ups, one GOAL. What the heck? Of course there wasn't anyone to witness the resulting fat girl happy dance either! (Thank Jeebus!)
