CFI is pretty forgiving I'd start with them.
Good afternoon, I’m currently studying and soon to obtain my permit then attend a trucking school. Seeking second chance companies. I’m not a convicted felon but I do have a criminal background from 2017. Any references would be greatly appreciated!!
Apply everywhere you can. This website offers a feature where you can do one application and send it to multiple companies at once. Personally, I utilize an app called Driver Pulse by Tentstreet to apply to numerous companies from my phone. Not all charges are equal. Even with your background being a misdemeanor, there are some charges that are going to be quite difficult to overcome with it being under 5 years old, namely drug charges and misdemeanor DUI. Don't let that information discourage you. It only means that you have to try a little harder than the next person might need to in the application process. You can find companies willing to give you a shot; just develop thick skin to accept a few "NO"s in the process. I wish you well in your search.
