Damn Kerry I was just wondering how you were doing without knowing you started this thread. Come across it and here you are on your own he world is racist tirade again by either making a story up or grossly exaggerating it. Nobody said racism doesn’t exist. I’ll say again like other drivers have said. I have yet to see any acts of racism in trucking. Good luck to you Kerry.

I didn't make anything up and there was no exaggeration. Actually, two people on here did say that people like the Dutch Maid Logistics driver in this bar don't don't exist.

I am submitting my posts with proper English and in the moderation process they are being changed. Pretty childish.

BMI:

Body mass index (BMI)

BMI is a formula that uses weight and height to estimate body fat. For most people, BMI provides a reasonable estimate of body fat. The BMI's biggest weakness is that it doesn't consider individual factors such as bone or muscle mass. BMI may:

  • Underestimate body fat for older adults or other people with low muscle mass
  • Overestimate body fat for people who are very muscular and physically fit

It's quite common, especially for men, to fall into the "overweight" category if you happen to be stronger than average. If you're pretty strong but in good shape then pay no attention.

Find those two quotes. Put a link to the pages they're on. I want to see which two people said that no racism exists. If you can't find those quotes, then you're simply here trolling and slandering us, and of course this community doesn't tolerate that. So I'll look for those links tomorrow.

Those quotes are in my "Personal Details" thread. I will post them. Hopefully that post of mine isn't censored, as many of mine have been. If I read the quotes that I am recalling from memory and find that I was mistaken in what was said, then I will retract my statement and apologize.

Nope. That doesn't fly with me. You don't get a free pass to slander people, wrongly accuse people of saying things, or sow division within our community and then just apologize and we'll all pretend nothing happened.

Let me tell you how I see it.

You had better know you have your facts straight before you open your mouth. If you haven't learned that lesson, it's time you do. I gave you too many warnings and too many chances already. I warned you about your woke racism garbage and you brought it up again. You had better be right.

Man oh man. I wouldn't hit a bar while I was in training even if I still drank. Just not a good idea for a lot of reasons. I'm allergic to alcohol, every time I drink, I break out in handcuffs.

I'd spend less time on social issues and more time trucking. Individual methods may vary. Some settling of contents may occur during shipping.

Here are the thread and the two comments to which I am referencing are by Banks and Bird-One. Both gentlemen indicated that the idea of a trainer having an issue with a trainee being in an interracial relationship is ludicrous that racism just isn't a problem about which to be concerned. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I have a photo of my wife on the home screen of my phone, which is quite common.

The driver at the bar called one of those women a n-word lover when she said that she has a mixed race child after telling him twice while I was at the bar to stop using that word. I didn't say anything to him because it wasn't my conversation in which to interject myself. I only became involved when it became a matter of escalating violence. The other two Dutch Maid employees also stepped in to prevent further violence. My whole point in bringing this up is because I was told that this is something that would never be an issue and that I am virtue signaling for thinking that it could be an issue (a comment made by Mikey B). I still bothered by the horrible things that this driver said and have concern for what could come out of his mouth when I eventually decide to have my wife in the truck with me and he sees this when I pull into the terminal. I still think about the fact that I easily could have been assigned to him as my trainer.

We need to be willing to admit that people like this driver are more common than they should be almost 180 years after the abolishment of slavery. I am sorry if some people feel uncomfortable with these statements. However, I am not sorry for stating these things because it is true. Bird-One made a comment in this thread saying that I am lying by either making the story up or exaggerating it.

Personal Life Details

Sorry about the earlier post where I submitted Brett's quoted text without my own included statement. Accidental button push as my phone lagged.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

TWIC:

Transportation Worker Identification Credential

Truck drivers who regularly pick up from or deliver to the shipping ports will often be required to carry a TWIC card.

Your TWIC is a tamper-resistant biometric card which acts as both your identification in secure areas, as well as an indicator of you having passed the necessary security clearance. TWIC cards are valid for five years. The issuance of TWIC cards is overseen by the Transportation Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.

Bird-One said:

At the end of the day “racism” is shiz talk. Shiz talk them back and go about your day.

I have never witnessed such a thing. Im sure it’s possible but again who cares? I wouldn’t let it bother me one bit.

I agree wholeheartedly with both.

Banks said:

It seems like everyone is desperate to be a victim these days. I hope somebody discriminates against me so I can tell everyone and get a pat on the back.

He described you perfectly. That's exactly what you're doing. Unfortunately for you, you can't read the room. You're leading a parade with no followers.

I'm Hispanic and it's obvious to people based on my features and my name. I've never encountered racism from anyone. Nobody has ever asked me the race of my wife and I've never asked anyone the race of there's.

It's interesting that he's Hispanic but doesn't encounter as much racism as you do, huh Kerry?

In fact, there's such a shortage of white supremacists that hate crimes are being manufactured regularly. The issue is main stream media and click bait online news sources.

They just finished a fake hate crime trial yesterday, and they found him guilty on 5 of 6 charges. Banks is right again, racism is in such short supply that they're literally manufacturing fake versions of it in an attempt to push their agenda, which is also your agenda. No one is fooled, not by the fake hate crime and not by you.

Finally, Banks said:

It absolutely exists. I live in it everyday as a person of color. I've never had an issue. That's my personal experience.

We all know it exists, but in very short supply. Again, he's Hispanic and has never come across any racism, but you have?

And here's another thing, Kerry........I don't believe your story. Not for a moment. I'll bet almost no one here does. Here's why:

I'm 50 years old. I spent 15 years on the road and almost 15 more mentoring people in trucking. I have never once witnessed a moment like you claim happened to you. Bird-One has never once come across anything like that. Banks, who is Hispanic, has never once come across anything like that.

You came here with an agenda, begging us to jump on your racism bandwagon. When no one bites, you wander straight into a big fight over racism a day or two later? What are the odds???? Pretty much zero. It seems beyond convenient. It's a borderline miracle.

But wait, there's more! This wasn't just any racism. Oh no, any old racism wouldn't apply to you at all. You came across racism over an interracial relationship like you claim you're in! So now it applies to you, and you can cry foul! What a break, eh?

I call BS. I'll bet most of us call BS. It's more fake racism that never happened.

On a personal note, Dutch Maid never told you to stay out of the bars during training? Because every company I know of makes that a hard, fast rule for students. If they catch students in the bar, they'll fire them and send them home. I'm surprised they said nothing about that. We kinda know the people there. I'm going to ask them why they allow their students to go into a bar during training. Now that's an issue in my mind. A genuine issue. No need to manufacture anything.

After submitting my last response, I realized I missed one of the many critical coincidences from your story, Kerry.

Not only was this a racist fight, but it was a fight over an interracial couple, AND the people who were being racist were truck drivers!

Now let's see.....why did Kerry come here? Oh yeah, because he was promoting the idea that racist truck drivers would be a problem for him because of his interracial marriage. When no one jumped on his bandwagon and none of us had ever experienced anything of the sort, within days Kerry miraculously gets involved in a fight started by racist truck drivers over an interracial relationship! I mean, how incredible is that coincidence, right???
