Driv3Insight, as someone who has been studying with the High Road CDL Training Program on here and passed his CLP (and tanker endorsement) tests just this week, I second what Old School says. That program is great--it gives the CDL material, as well as sidenotes of things you need to know for the test. The practice questions are really helpful and built into the program. I downloaded the app, DMV Genie, as well, but it only gives you one test in each area for free... after that you have to pay. As Old School says, HRTP on here is totally free.
And I agree with what you said about enjoying learning all the new stuff. Best of luck to you!

The state agency that handles everything related to your driver's licences, including testing, issuance, transfers, and revocation.
Before getting their CDL, commercial drivers will receive their commercial learner's permit (CLP) upon passing the written portion of the CDL exam. They will not have to retake the written exam to get their CDL.

Hi! I'm Indiana.
I just recently joined the site after a few years of looking into trucking, CDL companies, helpful posts here, and feedback from truckers I've talked to. I am ready to start my journey, and have been putting in applications like crazy to any companies that allow cats upon going solo.
I picked up the CDL Manual for NC yesterday, started studying it and taking notes, as well as going over YouTube videos and guides of skills test, truck parts etc. I was a bit indifferent about everything, but after I started studying I realized I am SUPER EXCITED for all the challenges and new skills I'll learn. I absolutely love driving, and have had a lot of non-cdl driving jobs in food delivery, transportation of people as a caretaker, and several odd driving jobs here and there.
Anyways, I just wanted to start off by saying hello, a little about me, and that I hope to learn a lot from folks on here as well as on the road.
Happy driving!
