Thanks Harvey, same to you. Just chillin’ and grilling’. Haven’t had Memorial Day off in years.
Some of you drivers have some time off but many such as our son Michael are driving. Michael was in Riverside County yesterday and I imagine traffic was very heavy with folks headed out of town for a long weekend.
Naturally everyone needs to stay alert of what's going on ahead of them and around them. It appears one driver of a car hauler got distracted yesterday afternoon about four miles from our place. This article doesn't state why traffic was stopped but it was very likely because the bridge 2 miles ahead of the accident scene was open (closed to vehicle traffic) for a boat, something that happens very often on weekends around here in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. Fridays are also extremely busy with vehicle traffic. The highway was shut down for 7 hours. On the bright side, someone had a miracle. The driver of the first vehicle the truck ran into was not expected to survive was life-flighted to the hospital but was released hours later with only a broken arm. G'Town, YOU deserve it !!! I'll be watching some awesome videos (ty), with Tom . . . soon after church; plus it's his brother's b'day. I've got 'stuff' to do, haha!~ Right. Here.
Thanks from myself & the Tomster as well, Harvey. We are doing the SAME as G'Town!! Tom's actually 'off' the following week! Was a bit'o'fun to pull THAT off, with Monday being a 'paid' holiday w/FAB. Double edged sword, double entendre .. however you slice it. I got it 'straight' with his boss, though. We will be HOME, also. The older we get, the safer we get, I guess.
I'll keep y'all (and Michael, for sure!) in thoughts & prayers. Some of us are actually up early, for a special a.m. service..in memoriam/observation of this weekend.
Prayers & blessings to ALL the drivers out there this weekend. AND ALWAYS, as well! Thanks, Harvey.

ps: Wow on the news . . . I'm sure Ohio will have 'their share' when all is said & done. We'll be in a 5 mile radius, and away from interstates...for the next few days. Sheesh....!~
