I went to roadmasters in Orlando. Yes, they are owned by werner ( at least when I went). I feel they are a great school.
One thing I will say was there were instructors there that could not make it there as a full time job. I don't know if it was the lack of hours, pay, or the standard of living in Florida. Good luck to your friend and hope he can make it work.
My buddy drove for Schneider almost 4 years. This is his final week because he took a job as an instructor with Roadmaster in GA.
I believe he will be a great instructor/trainer. Does anyone here know how things go at Roadmaster? They are owned by Werner, as I understand. Is Roadmaster a good company?
When Tom went in '03 here: Roadmaster, Columbus Ohio, they were independent.
Sure didn't look as nice as they do in this link, though! Congrats to your pal; PapaPig is doing similar, himself.

ps: It served him well, however!

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager
The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
