Local, non hazmat companies will be your only option because you can't cross state lines. Companies like coca cola, Pepsi, Canada dry and maybe some food service companies (depending on what they do).
This comes with a caveat, though. A lot of tight maneuvering that can result in a list of preventables that create obstacles for future opportunities. If you do end up joining one of these companies, always double, triple and quadruple check. It may add 5 minutes to the stop, but it's better than limiting career opportunities down the line.
Explosive, flammable, poisonous or otherwise potentially dangerous cargo. Large amounts of especially hazardous cargo are required to be placarded under HAZMAT regulations
Can you wait until you turn 21? If so you can get paid while you train. There are many companies who will train you for free.
Where do you live in NC?

Hi, I'm going to start trucking school in 4-5 months and I'm very concerned if I won't be able to find a job that will hire under 21, let alone someone with no experience. I live in North Carolina; any suggestions will be a great help. (apologies if this is a common question)
