Yes, a negative DAC can have a negative effect on your career.
Do you have a copy of your report? Can you be specific about what is on it? You are entitled to see your own report.
DAC:
Drive-A-Check Report
A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).
It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.
Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.
Your DAC is like a credit report. Companies can basically put whatever they want to on it. Yes its mostly all negative stuff.
You have the right to get a copy of it, and you have the right to dispute anything on it. If you file a dispute with supporting evidence then they will contact the company that put the entry on it asking for evidence to support the comment. At that point a company can remove the comment or submit why the comment should stand. Then the DAC folks decide if it stands or not.
How long it sticks around I’m not sure. I had a comment on mine I found out about 5 years after it was put there.
Companies are not required to participate in the program, but it seems most if not all large carriers do. It is also up to individual companies how much credence they give the comments.
BMI:

- Underestimate body fat for older adults or other people with low muscle mass
- Overestimate body fat for people who are very muscular and physically fit
It's quite common, especially for men, to fall into the "overweight" category if you happen to be stronger than average. If you're pretty strong but in good shape then pay no attention.

Do you have reason to be concerned with this, or are you just curious? I doubt you even have a DAC report. It sounds like you've never held a class A position, and I don't think you need to be concerned until you screw up something in a class A driving position.
You make it sound as if you may have failed a drug test. That's going to be a huge hurdle to overcome. Your DAC report will be the last thing to be concerned with if I'm understanding you correctly.
Give us some more details. We're not going to flame you. We just can't be helpful without good information to base our advice on.

How can a negative DAC report affect my driving career? Can a negative report be removed? Does a negative report expire with time? Is the DAC report used by companies to communicate negative news about us drivers? Example- what if you get a false positive on a hair follicle test? Also, is it possible to get a positive hair follicle test report removed from one’s record?
