Congrats, Daniel. After your first student you will have the grey hair of Old School and my self. Chronologically you will be young, but externally you will be an old man. Have fun. We need good instructors out there teaching to keep the rest of us safe!

Daniel, Congratulations on that nice new ride!

Ironic isn't it, now that you're a real truck driver with a real truck and your stuck riding shot-gun! shocked.png

That's funny right there!!!

Congrats Daniel!

How good do you have to be before you get one with only Delivery miles from the factory to the depot? :D

Are you buffing up your halo and certificate of Canonization ready for the truck after this?

Congrats on the new truck Daniel. Not sure if I'd like to be sitting in shotgun myself, I'm excited to DRIVE a truck! To each their own.

I passed two of the exact same color of truck you just got. They were both the same color heading up I495 this weekend. Same decals and everything.

Did anybody notice the pinkle truck in the background of the first picture? I think Daniel subconsciously already misses that truck. The picture proves it. It is like an ex-girlfriend, you might be apart but you still think about her from time to time and wonder "what if". Some of us will never forget the pinkle truck.

Congratz Daniel!

@Jopa, hopefully I can take you next! We'll see what the future holds.

@OS, don't be jealous. And even though I won't be driving it much, its still a huge advancement in my career. Having this title on my resume will make companies fall head over heels for me. Lets just hope I continue to be accident-free.

@Doug, Unlike OS, I still have many years ahead of me. I'm in it to my goal (hauling doubles tankers). Thanks for the kind words.

@Larry, agreed! We definitly need more trainers who will train a better generation of truckers. I want to do my part. I get the young jokes all the time, in fact, I got three yesterday alone!

@Guyjax, thanks buddy!

@Kiwi, I would prefer a truck with some miles on it rather than straight from the factory. Give the truck some driving time to work out the kinks. This truck is absolutely perfect, wouldn't give it up!

@Ray, eventually we'll meet up!

@Steven, this industry has a bunch of slackers. Lots of drivers who are just terrible at what they do. Its not hard to stand out.

@Bill, you ever have that moment when you dream of owning a specific car? And then you finally buy it and next thing you know, you see them everywhere and it ruins the excitement of your purchase because now it seems that everybody has one. Well, this is my moment. Let me think in my head that I'm the only one in this world with this kind of truck. At least until the "honeymoon" phase is over? shocked.png

@Wine Taster, I haven't gotten around to changing it. I also don't have an ex-girlfriend so I don't get what you're talking about smile.gif

Doubles:

Refers to pulling two trailers at the same time, otherwise known as "pups" or "pup trailers" because they're only about 28 feet long. However there are some states that allow doubles that are each 48 feet in length.

So, when are you going? I am still working with the recruiter to get that first approval.

Randy,

I am scheduled to resume on the 12th of May. Hope to see you here (I'm lurking in the Prime neighborhood instead of going all the way back to California just to return to Springfield)

Jopa
