It seems the terrible low beam output is common on these trucks. Im in a 2011 and the low beams are so bad they may as well not be on. I have read a ton of stuff on google about HID conversions and different bulbs to try. Anybody have any ideas on something that actually works ? Keep in mind this is a company truck so I may be limited to just changing the bulbs. Any advice ?

Use your fog lights too. I have a 2013 and my low beams aren't to great and I use my fog lights. It helps.

Hey, nice to see Logan again!

You're pretty much limited. You could take it to the shop and see if they can find anything wrong with it or try to replace the bulb with a higher wattage bulb.

2014 Volvo here, no excuse for how bad these low beams are, and I don't have fog lights. High beams have been improved greatly.

Had 09 Volvo prior. The headlights were so bad I drove with the high beams on all the time, even on two lane roads, and no oncoming traffic ever flashed their high beams to try to get me to put mine on low.

Now the ProStars I had in the past, I would get flashed ocassionally with them on low.

I had an '09 Volvo and the low beams were terrible. I took out the 55 watt bulbs and put in 100 watt ... much improved! My new 2014 Volvo has great low beams.

Thanks for the replies, I thought I read somewhere you are limited to 55 watts by regulation. Guess I better go back and read it again. I dont see as well at night as I used to since I screamed past 40 embarrassed.gif so the terrible lights aren't helping lol. I dont have fog lights so thats not an option either. I will try some better bulbs and polish the lenses and hope that helps. Thanks again everyone
