I could not of asked for a better trainer. He was great. Since October 28th I have driven 18,000 miles. Most of which were in the northeast.

Thsee last 2 weeks were kinda crazy, my mentor took home time for thanks giving so I had time off from last Wednesday to this past Monday morning in which we went west instead of back to his petsmart dedicated stuff. We crossed the country and back in no time. I drove 2300 miles in 4 days.

I get to go home tomorrow for a day and a half then on Monday I take my tests to get promotes to solo driver and get a truck. It's been a long journey with Swift Transportation. I started the academy back on September 15th. I am ready to be home for a few days.

Way to go, Eckoh! I will be testing out this coming week so I can truly relate and I have not even been in truck with my trainer as long as you have. Just remember what all the drivers keep telling us, make sure you don't hit anything!!!smile.gif

The tester failed me.... he said I ran a red light. I was 2 truck lengths from the light and it turned yellow and went red when I was less then 1 truck length from the stop line. I had no way to stop safely.

The tester even wrote down I could not of made a safe stop and wrote down that I showed "good technique in shift turning and backing".

My mentor said it was bullcrap and he was looking to fail me cause there are no trucks at that terminal.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

So you could not have made a safe stop but you got an "F"? Hmmm...that makes no sense. So what now?
