Blood, sweat, tears and frustrations to finally get my two years experience accident free. I applied to my dream job pulling double tankers for Flyers Energy LLC.

Night shift until you gain experience with the company then possible to switch to day shift. Home every day, off 2-3 days per week. Paid well, and by the hour. A perfect job to get me my life back while not taking too much of a paycut.

I applied monday and called Tuesday. HR approved my application but upper management needed to approve me also. She forwarded them the application, and waiting anxiously for days I finally found out the results.

"Thank you for the opportunity to review your qualifications. While we were impressed with your background and experience, we have concluded that another candidate's qualifications more closely match our requirements. We sincerely regret that we cannot offer you employment with our organization at this time."

Extremely disappointed and heart broken. But I guess I'll have to keep pushing forward. I have worked so hard to make my resume shine. I got a Company Driver of the Month award from Prime, I was also an Instructor/Trainer, accident free and nothing but glowing recommendations from my first company and my current company.

They haven't heard the last of me that's for sure! Will continue to put my faith in God that he leads me in his direction.

Man, today is a long, long day.

Daniel, have you thought to transfer to Prime's bulk/tanker fleet?

They hire only from the East. No CA. Otherwise I would.

Daniel, I so enjoy your posts. Please keep that faith! Sometimes the door doesn't open because what's on the other side isn't what's truly best for you. Maybe they will reconsider down the road (no pun intended) and maybe someone else will offer the REAL dream job. Either way, you are building a great resume and many of us are better off because of posts and advice from you. Drive on!

I had to peek... Trimac might be hiring in the Sacramento area. Then again I have no idea how accurate indeed.com's posts are. Offering alternatives similar to what you wanted is no help at all, Daniel. I'm sure everyone here knows that you'll succeed at what you set you mind to, it just may mean a different path than you were hoping for today.

Sometimes the right opportunity is different than what we think it should be. Keep focused on your goals Daniel, it will come. :)

Don't let it get you down and don't give up. Somewhere out there is a company waiting to fall all over itself for you.

Daniel...that is definitely a kick in the groin. Seeing someone with your experience get turned down is honestly eye opening to me. But I've seen it before myself and I'm sure I'll see it again.

Hang in there. Everything happens for a reason. Trust this old guy...
