So, now that the "new" 34-Hour Restart with the (1-5 AM provision) has been suspended for a few weeks, have you guys noticed if the night time parking situation has gotten any better?

Myself I haven't noticed much of a difference yet. I ran overnight all this past week and everything I saw was filled up early.

I havent noticed much of a difference.. Lots start filling up around 3pm and empty around 4am. I can usually always find a spot to park, but there are times when I don't finish tell 12am and have to "make" a spot somewhere.

I have actually noticed it opening up a little. I will usually have a truck stop as my plan A then have a rest area nearby as a plan B if it will be after 6pm. I was able to run days all this week so parking was not an issue. I have gone into the stores around 8 or so and have seen some open spots where before the rule suspension, trucks would already be squeezing in wherever they could.

The last couple weeks I have had no problem at all finding parking. Maybe I`m just getting lucky.

It may take a while for everyone to know about the rule change. Give it another month or so.

This is also the slowest time of the year in the industry so the parking tends to be slightly better at times, but not much. I don't expect lifting that provision will have much of an effect on the parking situation. I drove for many years before there was such a thing as a 34 hour reset and parking was always a huge problem.

It also depends on where you are, on the east cost it seems that if its dark you need a walmart out west you can park anytime and find a spot

This is true. Though for some reason the Denver FJ and pilot seam to fill up at noon.. kind of weird. .

I can 90 % of the time find a parking spot anywhere in the mid west to west US.

The Tomahawk just south of Colorado Springs has LOTS of room.... Why? Because it is now paid parking unless you purchase 50 gallons of fuel. Heck it was not even half full last night.

Not everywhere "out west." Good luck finding parking anytime past about 4 pm in Portland, Seattle, Denver or LA, except maybe on Saturday. The only exception to that is the TA in Aurora, OR. It's about the same distance from Portland as the TA in Troutdale, but you can usually find a spot upwards of 10 pm...as long as you don't mind hiking about 1/4 mile to the building.
