Thank you for all the replies. I may consider a lawyer (driver at my company suggested to fight it) but I was caught with LASER, so it may be an act of futility. We'll see. Thanks again.

LASER can still be beaten. They have to be calibrated regularly - just like RADAR guns. Calibration date too long? Ticket beat.

It always pays to send a lawyer in. Cop no-shows? Dismissed (8/10 times they no show - except for small towns, motorcycle cops and troopers - because their JOB is to write tickets and go to court.).

I run a Laser JAMMER on my car and motorcycle. Comical to see them get frustrated when they can't get a lack on me. But I don't just fly by them jamming - I check my speed and turn the jammer off so they can lock me at a legal speed.

Like Detectors - obviously illegal for CMV's.

My ticket attorney passed away recently. I try to be a lot more careful with my CDL - but prior to that, he was 13/14 dismissals. Worth every penny of the $100 I spent.

Rick

If you are this p*ssed, I would fight it. Was there other traffic on the road? Where you hauling a heavy load? A good lawyer will be able to reduce if not eliminate your ticket. Good Luck!

I would say if you have not already done it sign up for one of the ticket defence programs. You can find them at most truck stops, the one I have will fight past tickets if they have not already been taken care of. Then fight your ticket it might be 1st one, but you don't want to get a 2nd one next month for something. Then you have 2 tickets on your record. If you can get the first one reduced or dismisised, then your just fighting the next ticket. Its your license and your living defend it as such.

It was a trap, especially at night, your going up and down a bunch of hills, got it on the wood to climb the hill ,and don't realize when you topped a hill and start back down, of course it's our Job to realize we're speeding up, and not speed going down hill,,, but the Coppers know where to hide to catch you,, old days, trucks would Flash there headlites to warn of Troopers on the down hill side or announce on CB which dosn't get used much anymore... At least in Illinios most of the 55MPH BS is gone.

Why is this the case? Is it from the 24/7 ads from truck stops, etc?
