I am offended by people being offended all the time. Therefore, y'all need to stop being offended so that I can stop being offended over you being offended.

I did it dude ! I broke the chain! You should be okay now. I did not even do any mantras..............hummmmmmm.........hummmmmmm

Ahhh...I feel so much better now. Like a driver who just got done wading through Chicago traffic for 3 hours and is now, finally, standing in front of the TA's nearest urinal. Thank you.

Thats when you have to use the pee mantra that comes natural......like a noise or a whistle to get it flowing again or just take in a deep breath and become one with the moment.

"If you are depressed you are living in the past. If you are anxious you are living in the future. If you are at peace you are living in the present.”

― Lao Tzu

Pee............ peace.

Sorry, cant help but chime in on this. I love controversial topics. I would consider myself an atheist as well BUT i have never understood those atheists that seem to be pushing their atheism onto others. I guess what im saying is to patrick. By pushing your atheism on us, in a trucking forum of all places, it seems to me your a bit more religious than u like to believe. A true atheist wouldnt care, and certainly, wouldnt get offended by other religions or their places of worship. U kinda contradict yourself.

If you are trying to convince us of your non-belief we believe you and we are very proud of you. (Insert smiley face). We just want you to be happy patrick. So, please' as you go thru your company training please focus on the road and not so much on concering yourself with what religion the trucker is in front of you. After all, an an atheist your not suppossed to get offended by other peoples religion. Time to find a new obsession young (or old ) man. Not sure since your either 25 or 66. You have a wife but also "dont believe in marriage".

Anyway, on to more important subjects. HOW ABOUT THOSE OAKLAND A's? Cant wait till opening day

Agnostics - Want you to PROVE TO THEM there ACTUALLY IS A GOD.

Atheists - Want to PROVE TO YOU THERE ISN'T.

I run into a few atheists in A.A. A program where the entire basis of the program IS finding a higher power.

"Step 12: Having had a SPIRITUAL AWAKENING AS THE RESULT OF THESE STEPS..." The object is to connect (or re-connect) with your own personal spirituality - and that CAN BE DONE - without belonging to a RELIGION (which is how I did it).

The A.A. Atheists call themselves "Free Thinkers". I'm cool with that. But I've found that the RESISTANCE TO GOD/Religion - BECOMES their higher power. So the RESISTANCE to a "GOD" - IS THEIR GOD.

Funny how that works.

I understand that part of a great many religions - is to "witness" for their faith. I'm cool with that too - as long as they can take NO for an answer and move along.

But strangely enough - many ATHEISTS "witness" for their faith (or lack thereof), and those that do are typically more pushy and argumentative than your average Jehovahs Witness.

I'm starting to think Patrick G. falls into this category.

There's a REASON why Religion & Politics are TABOO SUBJECTS in bars. And those same reasons are why you rarely (if ever) see those topics HERE EITHER.
