I stopped at a place the other day and found a great little roadside stand that had awesome BBQ chicken (and tri-tips and hot links, but I didn't try those). It's off exit 106A on California 99.

Anyone else care to share their favorite places? (And please don't tell me about any chains ... We all know those. I mean little mom n pops that aren't in the GPS.)

And easy to get to by walking from your parked truck...

If you enjoy good BBQ and you're on I 75 in Georgia a must stop is Ole Rudy's BBQ at Exit 201 next to the Flying J. They have their own truck parking lot and will even deliver to the other truck stops at that exit.

I'll second this recommendation. I got directions from another driver a few months back and stopped in and it was worth every penny.

Surprised this isn't a more popular link. I have been to the BBQ place off 75 in Georgia it's great. A place in Cali called Esmeralda's Mexican in Ripon exit 237b about a 1/4 mile walk from the Loves. Bean dip and salsa w chips is complimentary and the faqiutas are deliciousness. And the walk back will help digest it.

Boise stage stop. I84 east of Boise. Can't recall exit# Got a perfectly cooked piece of roast beef the size of my head and all the trimmings for about $10.00. Good liver and onions too. I have to get that on the road cause Momma won't let me cook it at home😄

West Riverside, MT, I-90 exit 109. There's a PIlot/Town Pump here with a casino and a whole bunch of stuff. In the parking lot is a restaurant called River City Grill.

This restaurant is so incredible. I'll get two or three dishes when I get carryout from a good local restaurant I come across so I can eat for a couple days on it. I got the meatball sub, hot turkey sandwich and spaghetti. Huge portions on all of them and all really high quality ingredients. Highly recommended.

The cottage family restaurant off exit 173 on I80 in Lamar PA. Major truck stopping exit as it has a TA, Pilot, and a Flying j.

It's family owned and operated and the grampa makes all the dessert pies homemade from scratch. Really good food at very reasonable prices.
