Serah, that's going to be a tough one. With a time gap like you have I'm almost certain you are going to be required by most companies to have a refresher.

Thx OS. I have applied to US-Xpress and Roehl. Will see what they say. By the way after completion of the online application I requested a copy for my records. I got one reply for both companies. Are they related?
I took a refresher course last year and a guy I went thru the school with got his CDL then. He also waited months after getting his CDL and had a tough time finding a company that would take him. Well he finally found one and that was Knight Transport. They were going to have him relocate to Lakeland FL which is the terminal he would have worked from. So try Knight and see what they say. Also see if any companies may reimburse you some of the cost of a 40 hour refresher. Prime reimbursed me 75% of the cost of the 80 hr course I took. And it was reimbursed before I finished my 40k TNT training. I believe Western Express was willing to reimburse some of the cost as well.
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
Prime Inc has their own CDL training program and it's divided into two phases - PSD and TNT.
The PSD (Prime Student Driver) phase is where you'll get your permit and then go on the road for 10,000 miles with a trainer. When you come back you'll get your CDL license and enter the TNT phase.
The TNT phase is the second phase of training where you'll go on the road with an experienced driver for 30,000 miles of team driving. You'll receive 14¢ per mile ($700 per week guaranteed) during this phase. Once you're finished with TNT training you will be assigned a truck to run solo.

Thank you Terry. Will give them a call.

I haven't worked since I got my CDL last October. Anyone know companies that will hire me without sending me back for a refresher course? So far I only know of US-Xpress. I am in the process of applying for jobs.
