Just, wow.
WOW a Close call ! 1 of our family friends, lost their oldest son to that kinda thing. Except, he dozed off at the wheel after a concert (am sure he was high on weed)and he plowed into overhung steel beams on a flatbed, that was parked along the highway sleeping. He was decapitated in that crash some 25 years ago....
That's why i never drive behind a flat bed and if i do i keep a far distance until i can get around it as quick as i can.

This is crazy, just goes to show how important load securement is for us flatbedders!
They don't mention anything about the truck driver in this article, whether he will face charges or anything like that, but I would assume he will. I don't see how this could be caused by anything other than insufficient or improper securement.
This also happened about 30 minutes from where I grew up.
