I'll roll it up and re-inflate it each time. I HATE sleeping bags. I don't like to feel trapped in a "cocoon". I like clean, crisps sheets and a heavier, very soft blanket for warmth.

If that's what you like and your trainer is ok with it go for it. I like to bundle it up it blocks out sounds and light just the way i pretty much always slept.

Handy hint: your instructor may have an air hose in the cab! It usually connects to an air line under a seat.

I found this sleeping bag for 2 i'm looking to buy. Even though i'll be the only one in it i like to be able to sleep in different positions that's why i want to get a double bag. Keeps you warm down to temps as low as 23 F 41zCEOh1yxL.jpg

"If my trainer is ok with it"? My trainer is just that....a trainer. This is not the military...lol I'm not about to let someone tell me what I can use for sleeping items for my own comfort. Self inflated pads are very thin, about an inch, inflated. Bed sheets are thin. I feel that is a trainer is unable to make a little room to share with a trainee, maybe they shouldn't have one to begin with.

Yeah i get that he is the trainer but it's also his truck and his space. I don't think it would be a problem just saying because some of these trainers from i read are real ball busters when it comes to their space...which is pretty much understandable because it's basically their home.

As long as what you bring is one maybe two duffel bags you should be able to bring whatever you want.

FYI the truck sleeper is the size of a TWIN - XL bed. The mattress is 5" longer than a standard twin, so a standard fitted sheet won't go on.

39" x 80".

With a sleeping bag, if you don't like feeling "cocooned" there is an easy fix for that.. unzip the sleeping bag. You can even lay it out flat and just sleep on top of it, using the blanket of your choice.

I'll say this again....I HATE sleeping bags. Don't like the zippers, don't like the fabric on the inside or the outside. I'm not using one. :)

I'll be using my inflatable backpacking/camping pad, and cozy sheets/blankets!! lol
