Roehl didn't do a mandatory shut down, but they sent out a companywide message on the truck pc that said if you are driving in any of the heavily affected states and you do not feel safe SHUT DOWN. Just call your dispatcher so they know the situation.
Some areas here on the east coast, company shutdown or not, drivers have had to shut down due to the snow emergency declaration. It's a bad storm folks, if you're out in it, use common sense.
Ya Tmc was sending those kinds of shut down if you need to then just shut down like 5 states until further notice. I'm not in the area so I consider myself lucky.
Stevens Transport sent messages regarding bad weather and urged drivers to shutdown if you don't feel. They never made it mandatory.
I made the decision to shutdown about 8 hours ago. No load is worth the risk IMHO.
Left out the word safe in prior post lol.

I didn't even notice brain filled in the gap.
Covenant does mandatory shut downs
Crst did the mandatory slowdown/shutdown too... But We are headed west to kansas city...
Be safe and stay warm everyone..
Quality Carriers sent the same messages urging drivers in the effected area to shutdown. Pretty strong suggestion in my opinion. I'm below it all. One of the lucky ones this year. Be safe everyone and stay warm

Tmc did a mandatory shutdown of trucks in several states due to the weather. First of this shows how committed to safety they really are. I'm curious if any other companies did this though.
