Chickie, Check out the Straight Talk BYOP (bring your own phone plan). You can stay on the Verizon towers for a lot less money. $45-55!

I have Virgin mobile for $35 a month, 300 talk minutes and unlimited texts and data. I think they recently bumped it to $40 or $45 a month though. Of course I haven't tried it out OTR yet but I get good service here in CA, NV and AZ so far.

OTR:

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

I would but I signed a contract so I could make payments on my phone as I didn't have $600 for a new phone (I desperately needed one). I've been with Verizon for years and love them. The only problem I've ever had is they accidentally dropped my grandfathered unlimited data plan. But it was an honest mistake and I've only ever gone over my data once since then so no biggie. Although I would like to have it back now that we are getting ready to go on the road so I can watch Netflix...
