Up at 4:00am caught bus to the academy about 5:30am.

Class started at 6:00am get your license, CLP A and SS card out. Thats when I found out that the physical I had last week was no go good the DR. didn't give me a DOT card and what they had given me was a copy so new physical no big deal passed this one to.

Started with 24 now down to 21, one guy gets mad first thing this morning and leaves said he wasn't doing another physical. 2 more gone after physicals.

Today was fairly slow nothing really but paperwork. Tomorrow we go over the contract and sign them. Then on to log books.

Will report back tomorrow.

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

CLP:

Commercial Learner's Permit

Before getting their CDL, commercial drivers will receive their commercial learner's permit (CLP) upon passing the written portion of the CDL exam. They will not have to retake the written exam to get their CDL.

No Phillip it wasn't hard standard DOT physical, I think they had to go to their DR for some kind of medical clearance.
